Gyeonggi Province Raises Veterans Allowance to 800,000 Won Gyeonggi-do War Veterans Honorary Allowance Increase Poster

Gyeonggi Province will raise this year's "Veterans Honorary Allowance" to 800,000 won per year. This is an increase of 200,000 won compared to last year's 600,000 won. Additionally, the amount has risen by 207% over four years, from 260,000 won in 2022.

Since 2016, Gyeonggi Province has been providing the "Gyeonggi-do Veterans Honorary Allowance" to veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War who are registered with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and reside within the province, in recognition of their service to the nation.

Under the 8th popularly elected administration, Gyeonggi Province has consistently increased the allowance, based on the principle that "special sacrifices for the country must be met with appropriate honor." The amount was raised from 260,000 won in 2022 to 400,000 won in 2023, 600,000 won in 2025, and 800,000 won in 2026.
