Donation of 2 Million Won and Goods to Sarangsaem
Raised Through Used Clothing Collection Campaign
The Busan Branch of the Widows of War Veterans Association (Branch President Park Eunju) announced on January 9 that it had delivered a Hope Sharing donation of 2 million won and donated goods to Sarangsaem, a facility operated by the Korea Social Welfare Society (Director Kim Yeji).
Sarangsaem, run by the Korea Social Welfare Society, is a childcare support facility that assists single-parent families raising children under the age of six, providing support for their livelihood stability and self-reliance.
This donation was raised through a used clothing collection campaign in which the presidents and members of 16 local chapters affiliated with the Busan Branch of the Widows of War Veterans Association participated. The donated goods were prepared with support from Seowon Nanum. The donated funds and goods will be used to support the daily lives of single-parent families and to operate self-reliance programs.
Park Eunju, President of the Busan Branch of the Widows of War Veterans Association, stated, "This sharing initiative became even more meaningful thanks to the active participation of the presidents and members of all 16 chapters," adding, "We will continue to carry out sharing activities for the local community."
