Namyangju City Opens New Changhyeon 2-ri Village Hall in Hwado-eup

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 12 that it held the completion ceremony for the Changhyeon 2-ri village hall at 50-2 Changhyeon-ri, Hwado-eup.

This ceremony was organized as part of the village support project, which was promoted as a public contribution measure within the Geumnam 5 District logistics center development project. The event aimed to commemorate the completion of the newly established space and to strengthen communication with local residents.


Approximately 150 people attended the event, including Joo Gwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, members of the National Assembly, provincial and city council members, heads of local institutions and social organizations in Hwado-eup, and village residents. The participants celebrated the new beginning of the village hall through a progress report on the project, commemorative speeches, congratulatory remarks, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.


The newly constructed Changhyeon 2-ri village hall was built with a total project cost of about 600 million won. The building has one above-ground floor and a total floor area of 273 square meters. Designed as a community-oriented space where residents can communicate and engage in various communal activities in their daily lives, it is expected to serve as a central hub for the local community in the future.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "Changhyeon 2-ri village hall is a space that fulfills the long-held wishes of the residents, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to its completion. We will continue our efforts to bring about changes and regional development that citizens can truly feel."


Yu Dalgeun, the head of Changhyeon 2-ri, said, "I sincerely thank all the city officials who worked hard for the completion of the village hall. I hope this space will become a hub for the development of our village and for fostering harmony among neighbors."
