This plaque unveiling ceremony was held following the city's receipt of the Child-Friendly City certification from the Korean Committee for UNICEF in December of last year.

Since signing a work agreement with UNICEF in July 2024, the city has been actively promoting the creation of a Child-Friendly City. Beginning that year with amendments to ordinances for establishing a Child-Friendly City, Anseong City has laid the institutional and administrative foundation for reflecting children's rights throughout municipal administration, including assigning dedicated personnel and conducting standard surveys on child-friendliness.

This certification will remain valid for four years, until December 9, 2029.

With the unveiling of this plaque, Anseong City plans to further strengthen its status as a Child-Friendly City and continue implementing practical child-friendly policies that citizens can experience together.
