Launch of Ultra-Compact, Direct-Only Mini Flu Deductible
Targeting Younger Consumers with Simple Enrollment and Gifting Features
Saemaeul Geumgo Federation (President Kim In) announced the launch of the ultra-compact product, "Non-Participating MG Direct Mini Flu Deductible," which features reasonable premiums and a simple enrollment process.
This product is a "mini deductible" that simplifies the coverage period to one year and minimizes the guarantee structure. It was designed to reflect the practical consumer trend of reducing unnecessary coverage and focusing only on essential risks.
In particular, it is offered exclusively through mobile and web-based direct channels, significantly enhancing accessibility and user convenience for Millennials & Gen Z who are accustomed to non-face-to-face financial services.
The eligibility range is broad, covering individuals from ages 20 to 70. The annual premium is 2,900 KRW for men and 3,510 KRW for women, applied uniformly across all ages. The premium is paid only once at the time of enrollment. After a 10-day waiting period, coverage is provided if a flu diagnosis is confirmed and antiviral medication is prescribed.
A representative from Saemaeul Geumgo Federation stated, "We designed this product so that members can conveniently enjoy deductible benefits at a reasonable cost through direct channels," adding, "We will continue to introduce practical deductible products that meet the lifestyles and needs of our members, thereby strengthening our financial role based on the spirit of mutual aid."
Additionally, a new "gift" feature has been introduced, allowing members to transfer deductibles to family or acquaintances. This feature is available only via mobile web and app, catering to the demand for simple, non-face-to-face coverage gifting.
Further details about the "Direct Mini Flu Deductible" can be found on the Saemaeul Geumgo Insurance website and the MG Saemaeul Geumgo Insurance app.
