The company is focused on improving construction site safety and enhancing operational efficiency through a quality management system based on high-strength raw materials and tailored on-site material supply.
Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to expand cooperation in several areas: joint research on construction safety technology, development of ESG-based industry-linked educational programs, on-site training and professional talent development, and the creation of a sustainable construction environment.
Kim Hyunki, CEO of Bando Steel, stated, "Safety at construction sites is the most fundamental social value that companies must be responsible for. I look forward to the combination of Shinhan University's research and educational capabilities with our field experience leading to the development and practical application of effective safety technologies." He added, "We will incorporate ESG management throughout the entire process, from product development and production to rental and management, to grow as a sustainable company."
Kwon Ogeun, Director of the ESG Innovation Group at Shinhan University, commented, "ESG is not a declaration but is realized through practical implementation in the industrial field. This agreement will provide students with opportunities for hands-on education and field experience, while offering companies access to professional talent and research outcomes, creating a mutually beneficial cooperation model." He further emphasized, "The university will continue to actively support research and education to improve safety standards at construction sites and to help companies establish ESG management practices."
The ESG Innovation Group at Shinhan University plans to continue building a leading industry-academia cooperation model that links ESG education, research, and practical implementation through collaboration with various industrial sectors.
