The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on January 12 that Daewoo A-Tech has donated approximately 8.9 million won to the "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign."
The donation ceremony, held on January 7 at the Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae Nanum Culture Center, was attended by executives and employees of Daewoo A-Tech as well as officials from Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae.
This donation was raised over two days through voluntary contributions by Daewoo A-Tech employees at each of their business sites, including Gwangju, Seongnam, Hwaseong, and Asan. The warm-hearted participation of employees across regions and workplaces came together to create this fund.
The donated funds will be accumulated as part of the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign and will be used in full to provide essential support such as living expenses, heating costs, and medical expenses for vulnerable groups in the Gwangju area.
A representative from Daewoo A-Tech stated, "Because this donation was collected through the voluntary participation of our employees, we have an even greater desire for it to benefit the local community," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and pursue sharing activities that grow together with the region."
Park Heungcheol, Secretary-General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "This donation, made possible by the voluntary participation of employees across business sites and regions, deepens the meaning of sharing," and added, "We will use the funds responsibly to ensure that warmth is delivered to the local community through the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign."
