Fell 2 Meters from Mobile Scaffold, Sustained Minor Injuries
Workers installing exhibition pieces inside the Gwangju National Asia Culture Center (ACC) fell from a mobile scaffold and were transported to the hospital.
At around 11 a.m. on January 12, two workers, including an individual identified as A, fell approximately 2 meters to the floor while installing exhibition pieces at the Culture Creation Center within the National Asia Culture Center in Dong-gu, Gwangju.
The workers sustained minor injuries, complaining of pain in their backs and ankles, and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment by the fire authorities who responded to the scene.
At the time, the workers were on a mobile scaffold (a temporary structure set up to allow work at height) installing pieces in preparation for an upcoming exhibition at the Culture Creation Center when the accident occurred.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and whether safety regulations were followed by questioning those involved at the scene.
