On January 11, the Rebuilding Korea Party commented on the election of Byungdo Han as the new floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stating, "The new parliamentary leader of the ruling party faces the grave task of reviving crisis-ridden politics and fostering hope for people's livelihoods."

Wangjin Seo, floor leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, said in a statement on the same day, "The most urgent task is to restore the 'reform-progressive alliance.'"

Seo stated, "It is time for the Democratic Party of Korea to put into practice the spirit of the roundtable that was promised together with the Rebuilding Korea Party, the Progressive Party, the Basic Income Party, and the Social Democratic Party," adding, "We must set in motion the gears of political reform and constitutional amendment. The efforts of the new floor leader toward this goal will serve as a barometer for the restoration of the reform-progressive alliance."

Seo also said, "I hope that institutional alternatives proposed by the Rebuilding Korea Party, such as the 'three-to-five-member medium constituency system' and the 'four laws to eliminate money-based nominations,' will be given significant consideration in the Special Committee on Political Reform," adding, "The Rebuilding Korea Party will stand as the strongest ally and strictest watchdog alongside the Democratic Party of Korea."
