Joint Campaign Speech for Ruling Party Supreme Council By-election
Moon Jungbok, a lawmaker running in the Democratic Party of Korea’s Supreme Council by-election for Siheung-gap, Gyeonggi Province, stated on the day of the vote, January 11, "We must build a highway for the policies of the Lee Jaemyung administration to spread. That is why we need a one-team Democratic Party centered around the leadership of Jeong Cheongrae."
At the by-election held in the main conference hall of the National Assembly Members’ Office Building that afternoon, Moon emphasized, "We must give wings to President Lee. The dynamic energy emanating from the heart that is the Lee Jaemyung administration must flow through the arteries and reach every capillary, and to do so, we must give it the wings of victory in the local elections."
She continued, "I sincerely hope President Lee succeeds. Only then will our people thrive. Only then will our lives become happier. The hopes of the entire nation are becoming reality," adding, "Within just seven months of inauguration, we have achieved record-high exports, the KOSPI index has surpassed 4,600, and our President has proven his achievements to the people through normalized diplomacy and national security."
She went on to say, "Now, the mission of our Democratic Party is clear," and stressed, "We must break through the arteries blocked by the heads of local governments from the People Power Party in Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Chungcheong, and other regions, so that the effective policies of the Lee Jaemyung administration can permeate the lives of all citizens." She pledged to support the election of Democratic Party-affiliated local government heads and council members.

Moon also emphasized the need for a one-team approach centered on the Jeong Cheongrae leadership, stating, "The Democratic Party has always demonstrated its greatest strength when united as one, and we must contest the local elections with the party’s stable strength. The Jeong Cheongrae leadership will prove this with results," she asserted.
To secure victory in the local elections, she promised to uphold the "four no’s" principle-no unqualified candidates, no unfair disqualifications, no parachute nominations, and no illegal screening-complete candidate nominations swiftly by April 20, and provide strategic support in key electoral districts.
Additionally, she pledged to "see through, without a single step back," the complete resolution of past insurrections, a second comprehensive special counsel, special counsels on the Unification Church and Shincheonji, judicial reform, and the implementation of a one-person-one-vote system.
