The district will operate a situation room led by the Transportation Administration Division starting at 9:00 a.m. on January 12. If the strike actually begins, the situation room will be upgraded to an "Emergency Transportation Countermeasures Headquarters," activating a 24-hour response system.
The core of the emergency transportation plan is the operation of free shuttle buses. The district will deploy a total of 21 chartered buses with 45 seats each on seven routes connected to major subway stations in the area, operating 11 buses in the morning and 10 in the afternoon.
The routes are as follows: Guro-dong 1 (Sindorim Station to Namguro Station), Guro-dong 2 (Digital Complex Five-way Intersection to Guro Station), Gocheok-dong 1 (Gocheok Intersection to Oryu-dong Station), Hang-dong 1 (Hang-dong District to Cheonwang Station), Guro-dong 3 (Digital Complex Five-way Intersection to Guro Digital Complex Station), Sugung-dong 1 (Gung-dong Ecological Park to Onsu Station), and Hang-dong 2 (Hang-dong District to Onsu Station to Oryu-dong Station).
Village buses will also reinforce their operations by deploying reserve vehicles. The first bus will depart at 5:00 a.m., and the last bus will be extended to midnight. The district plans to facilitate residents' transportation by concentrating bus dispatches during commuting hours and adjusting intervals between buses.
Additionally, the district will promptly provide transportation information and real-time updates in the event of a strike through various channels, including apartment complex broadcasts, the district website, and social media services. Shuttle buses will have route information posted, and staff will be on board to provide on-site guidance.
A Guro District official stated, "We have made thorough preparations to minimize inconvenience to residents in case the city bus strike becomes a reality," and added, "We hope that labor-management negotiations will be concluded as soon as possible."
