A younger brother who stabbed and killed his older brother during a dispute over inheritance has turned himself in to the police and been apprehended.
The Gimhae Seobu Police Station in South Gyeongsang Province announced on January 9 that a man in his 70s, identified as Mr. A, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently under investigation.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of stabbing and killing his older brother, Mr. B, also in his 70s, with a weapon at a residence in Gimhae at around 5:00 p.m. on January 7.
It is reported that Mr. A committed the crime after an argument with Mr. B over the inheritance left by their late father on the day of the incident.
Mr. A turned himself in at the police station at 4:03 p.m. on January 8, the day after the crime, and was immediately arrested by police after they discovered the body.
The police have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A and are investigating the exact circumstances of the crime through an autopsy and questioning of related individuals.
