This Global Internship Program has been organized as a career and vocational education initiative that connects universities, businesses, local communities, and overseas educational institutions to support multicultural high school students in designing their career paths. The program focuses on major-related learning and hands-on industry experience, going beyond international exchanges.

In particular, high school students recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, who arrived in Korea on January 8, are participating alongside domestic multicultural high school students. The students will complete courses in artificial intelligence, robotics, digital making, major exploration, company site visits, and multicultural collaboration, all within a multilingual environment of Korean and Russian.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has focused on transforming the multilingual and multicultural experiences of multicultural students into valuable assets for career planning. Additionally, the program aims to provide a variety of experiences to help multicultural youth, who often have limited access to career information, make practical career choices.

One multicultural high school student participating in the Global Internship Program said, "It is meaningful to be able to gain hands-on experience at universities and companies together with international students," adding, "I want to connect my linguistic and cultural background as a multicultural student to my career path."

Through this Global Internship Program, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education plans to shift the focus of multicultural career and vocational education from supplementary support to growth and expansion. The office aims to establish a public education model that nurtures multicultural students as global talents for the future, moving beyond just language support and adaptation.

Furthermore, the office will analyze the outcomes of the Global Internship Program to consider the possibility of institutionalization. It also plans to expand the program to schools as a customized career model for multicultural students through outcome-sharing sessions and teacher training. In addition, the office intends to systematically guarantee multicultural students' rights to career choice and learning by expanding cooperation between overseas educational institutions and domestic universities and companies.
