Lotte Biologics Holds 'Employee Volunteer Day' with University Student Volunteer Group

Gift Sets Delivered to Underprivileged Children in Incheon

Lotte Biologics announced on January 9 that it had conducted the "Employee Volunteer Day" activity, in collaboration with its employee volunteer group "LB:Heart" and Lotte Group's university student volunteer group "Value for ESG."

Approximately 100 people, including Lotte Biologics employees and members of the university student volunteer group, participated in this volunteer activity. The participants created gift sets consisting of pipe cleaner dolls they made themselves, along with stationery, snacks, and winter supplies, and delivered them to underprivileged children in the Incheon area.

Lotte Biologics also organized a tour program of the Songdo Bio Campus, which is scheduled for completion in the second half of the year, for the university student volunteers. On-site employees guided the group through the construction site of the five-story Plant 1, sharing the company’s growth strategies and vision. In addition, they introduced eco-friendly policies as part of ESG management, such as minimizing environmental pollutants, installing solar panels to save energy, and establishing a sustainable recycling system.

Lotte Biologics stated that, through this activity, it aims to further promote volunteer work in the local community and provide young people with opportunities to experience the K-bio industry firsthand, thereby fostering the development of bio industry professionals.
