On January 9 (local time), Hyundai Motor Company introduced the Staria EV at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, held at Brussels Expo in Belgium. The Staria EV is the electrified version of the Staria, which was launched in December last year. As global automakers continue to release premium MPVs, competition in the large MPV market-offering spacious interiors and a wide range of features-is intensifying.

The Staria EV features a clean and sophisticated exterior, a spacious interior, and is equipped with an 84.0kWh fourth-generation battery, along with a variety of advanced convenience features. The model also inherits the "inside-out" design theme, which extends the sense of space and openness from the interior to the exterior, while incorporating EV-specific design elements to create a futuristic image.

The front of the vehicle is characterized by a continuous horizontal lamp, and a front active air flap that actively manages cooling airflow. The front charging port is seamlessly integrated into the parting line (the exterior boundary), resulting in a clean and refined appearance.

The interior utilizes a horizontal layout to create an open and airy atmosphere. With an overall length of 5,255mm, a wheelbase of 3,275mm, a width of 1,995mm, and a height of 1,990mm (1,995mm for the cargo version), the vehicle offers a spacious cabin. The second and third rows provide class-leading headroom and legroom.

A 12.3-inch digital cluster and infotainment display deliver essential driving information intuitively on large screens, while some infotainment and climate control functions retain physical buttons for enhanced usability while driving.

Additionally, the Staria EV is equipped with a wide range of advanced features, achieving best-in-class product competitiveness. The next-generation infotainment system (ccNC) enhances the convenience of core functions such as AVNT (audio, video, navigation) and vehicle settings. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates come standard, ensuring that key electronic control features remain up to date. The latest connectivity features are also available, including interior and exterior V2L, as well as 100W USB-C charging ports.

Hyundai Motor Company plans to begin sequential sales of the New Staria EV in Korea and Europe during the first half of this year. Xavier Martinet, Head of Hyundai Motor Europe, stated, "This is a vehicle that combines the trusted Staria with EV technology," adding, "Through its spacious interior and ultra-fast charging system, it will provide a practical and efficient mobility experience."

Meanwhile, at the Brussels Motor Show, Hyundai Motor Company has set up an exhibition space of approximately 1,338 square meters, showcasing a total of 21 vehicles, including the Staria EV, the concept car "Insterroid," and "Concept Three." The Insterroid is based on the compact electric SUV Inster (Casper Electric), featuring an innovative, game-inspired design, while Concept Three is the first small EV concept car from Hyundai's dedicated EV brand IONIQ, boasting a distinctive hatchback design.

In addition, Hyundai will display a variety of electric vehicle models such as the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6, IONIQ 6 N, IONIQ 9, Casper Electric, and Kona EV, further highlighting its technological leadership and brand competitiveness as a pioneer in electrification in the European market.
