Jangsu County in Jeonbuk has begun earnest communication efforts for "resident-centered administration" together with the county's village head association, which serves as a bridge between local residents and the administration and as a key partner in county governance, to mark the New Year.
On January 9, Jangsu County announced that it held a New Year's meeting with the Jangsu County Village Head Association, composed of the heads of the seven towns and townships within the county, at the county office conference room.
This meeting was organized to share major policy directions with the village heads, who dedicate themselves at the forefront for county residents in the new Year of the Byeongo, and to strengthen the close cooperative system between the administration and the village heads. The event was attended by County Governor Choi Hunsik, Association President Song Donghun, and about 10 secretaries and heads of each town and township village head association.
At the meeting, Governor Choi expressed deep gratitude to the village heads for their hard work in supporting the local community last year, including efforts to improve the village environment, disaster prevention activities, and caring for vulnerable groups. He then explained the key projects planned for this year and requested active support and cooperation from those on the ground.
Song Donghun, President of the Jangsu County Village Head Association, responded, "It is very meaningful to be able to communicate directly with the county governor and share the concerns of our region as we welcome the New Year. Going forward, the village head association will continue to take the lead in conveying the real voices from the field and do our best to ensure smooth administration."
Governor Choi Hunsik emphasized, "The village heads, who work at the very frontlines of administration, are the county government's reliable partners and the true driving force behind the development of Jangsu County. We will actively reflect the valuable opinions shared today in county governance to bring about tangible changes that residents can truly feel."
