Expanded Support for Flood Prevention Facilities and Smart CCTV
Ulju County in Ulsan will implement the "2026 Apartment Complex Support Project" for local apartment complexes.
The Apartment Complex Support Project aims to create a pleasant and safe residential environment by supporting the repair and improvement of common facilities within apartment complexes, such as roads, streetlights, children's playgrounds, and senior citizen centers. This year, a total project budget of 3 billion won is expected to be invested.
The eligibility criteria target apartment complexes that have been in use for more than five years since their approval (inspection) date. The priority for support will be determined by comprehensively considering previous support records, years since completion, and the number of households.
Ulju County plans to give additional points to apartment complexes that apply for the installation of flood prevention facilities, such as flood barriers, in order to prevent casualties caused by natural disasters like localized heavy rain. Starting this year, the scope of support for smart CCTV will also be expanded to further strengthen safety management within the complexes.
Applications for the project will be accepted through the local administrative welfare centers in towns and townships until January 30. The projects will undergo review by the Apartment Complex Support Review Committee in March, and construction is scheduled to begin in August.
An Ulju County official stated, "We plan to give priority to apartment complexes that apply for flood prevention facilities and senior citizen center repairs," adding, "We will continue our efforts to create a safe and pleasant residential environment where residents can live with peace of mind."
