Yeonsu Kim is conducting research using Physics-Informed AI, which internalizes physical laws, to enhance the physical consistency of prediction results and improve accuracy in extrapolated domains.

Through this, Kim aims to develop a new methodology that enables more accurate and rapid autonomous design of elastic metamaterials.

Hakseo Ahn is conducting research utilizing Graph Neural Networks to predict multiphysics phenomena occurring in lattice structures and to derive optimal design solutions.

According to Soongsil University, both students are focused on integrating artificial intelligence into engineering fields such as mechanical and materials design and analysis.

Yeonsu Kim stated, "I hope to advance physics-based AI technologies and grow as a researcher who provides effective solutions to various engineering problems. I am grateful to Professor Heonjun Yoon for his guidance and will strive to achieve outstanding research results based on this opportunity."

Hakseo Ahn also said, "I am thankful to Professor Heonjun Yoon for believing in my research potential and guiding me. I will continue to work diligently to become a researcher who brings honor to Soongsil University."

Meanwhile, the AI Seoul Tech Graduate School Scholarship is a support program operated by the Seoul Scholarship Foundation, established with funding from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, to foster future core talent in artificial intelligence.

The program selects master's and doctoral students with AI research potential and technological growth prospects among full-time graduate students in science and engineering at universities in Seoul. For each semester, doctoral students receive 10 million won and master's students receive 5 million won as scholarship support.
