Polaris Office, an AI office platform company, is accelerating its entry into the next-generation document solution market by partnering with fintech security company Aton, emphasizing "flawless security."
On January 9, Polaris Office announced that it had signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Aton to "create synergies in document technology and quantum security authentication."
With this agreement as a starting point, the two companies plan to integrate next-generation security technology into global standard document technology, aiming to establish a solid entry barrier in the B2B (business-to-business) market, where security is a key competitive advantage.
The core of the agreement is to proactively respond to increasingly sophisticated hacking threats by applying "post-quantum cryptography (PQC)" technology across the entire document platform. PQC is a next-generation encryption technology capable of defending against hacking threats from quantum computers, significantly enhancing the security level throughout the entire document life cycle-from creation and storage to sharing and transmission.
Of particular note is the combination of the two companies’ "on-device AI" technology with PQC. This enables document work in a highly secure environment without cloud connectivity, allowing them to precisely target the needs of financial institutions and public organizations that are highly sensitive to data leaks.
The companies also plan to pursue integration with the authentication platform "PASS" app, operated by the three major mobile carriers. They are actively considering applying quantum security authentication features to the "Office Assistant" service within the PASS app, which has 38 million subscribers, and intend to expand their service scope to mobile security for enterprises through this initiative.
The two companies will jointly market a "secure document solution" package targeting B2B markets where advanced security is essential, including financial institutions, public organizations, and the education sector. They are also working to secure concrete references by proposing advanced document solutions incorporating quantum cryptography to major financial companies that have already adopted Aton’s solutions.
Lee Haeseok, Head of Business Division and Group AI Lead at Polaris Office, stated, "With the spread of cloud and AI, document security in corporate environments is no longer a choice but a requirement for survival. By combining Polaris Office’s document technology, which has been validated by global big tech companies, with Aton’s robust security infrastructure, we aim to present an unrivaled security standard in the B2B market."
Meanwhile, Polaris Office plans to further strengthen its position in the enterprise market through this quantum security collaboration, building on the technical trust it has accumulated by supplying security-embedded document engines to more than 60 global companies, including IBM, BlackBerry, and Cisco.
