Gwangmyeong City Announces Naming Contest for Gwangmyeong 3-dong Public Library Opening in October

The Gwangmyeong 3-dong Public Library will be located on the 5th and 6th floors of the Gwangmyeong 3-dong Public Complex Building at 104-9 Gwangmyeong-dong, with a total floor area of 1,600 square meters. The library will operate as a multi-cultural space, featuring a children's and general reading room, an immersive playground, a children's creative space, lecture rooms, and club rooms.

The city will comprehensively evaluate the suitability, creativity, and popularity of the submitted names and select the winning entries. The awards will include one grand prize (100,000 won), one excellence prize (70,000 won), and one encouragement prize (50,000 won), all awarded as Onnuri gift certificates. The results will be released next month on the Gwangmyeong City Library website.

Anyone can participate in the naming contest. Applicants can fill out and submit the online form, or visit the Gwangmyeong 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center to complete and submit a paper form. The application form can also be downloaded from the notice board on the Gwangmyeong City Library website, filled out, and submitted via email to the person in charge.

The city explained that the winning entries may be modified or adapted as needed. If it is found after the announcement of winners that an entry has already won another contest or is not an original creation, the award may be canceled and the prize money reclaimed.
