Prosecutors Request Arrest Warrant for Pastor Jun Kwanghoon over 'Western District Court Incident' Allegations

An arrest warrant has been requested for Pastor Jun Kwanghoon of Sarang Jeil Church, who has been identified as the mastermind behind the violent disturbance at the Seoul Western District Court.

On January 8, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office filed for an arrest warrant for Pastor Jun, following a request made by the police the previous day.

Pastor Jun is accused of inciting the intrusion of protesters into the Western District Court on January 19 last year by exerting psychological control (gaslighting) under the guise of religious faith, and by providing funds to his close associates and conservative YouTubers. The charges include instigating special trespassing and special obstruction of official duties.

The arrest warrant for Shin Hyesik, CEO of "Shinui Hansu," who was requested together with Pastor Jun, was rejected.
