All Apprenticeship Students Pass External Assessment

Soongui Science and Technology High School announced on January 8 that it recently held the "3rd Apprenticeship (3rd Class) Graduation Ceremony."
The event, which took place on January 7 at the Grand Ballroom on the 4th floor of Radama Plaza Gwangju Hotel, was attended by around 120 people, including Yoon Okgyun, Director of the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korea Human Resources Development Service, Hyung Jiyeong, Head of Career and College Guidance at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, representatives and executives from 10 partner companies, corporate field instructors, parents of graduates, and students from junior classes. This year's graduation ceremony highlighted both tangible educational achievements and the warm support of partner companies.
The ceremony began with the presentation of the President's Award from the Korea Human Resources Development Service to graduates who excelled in the apprenticeship training program. The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Employment and Labor plaques of appreciation were awarded to Ssanggyo Sutbul Galbi, a partner company that contributed to the development of the industry-academia integrated apprenticeship school and vocational education and training. Utop Marina Hotel & Resort received a certificate of appreciation from the school principal for its contributions to nurturing practical talent.
All third-class apprenticeship students who passed the external assessment for the work-study qualification conducted by the Korea Human Resources Development Service on January 10 received scholarships and commemorative plaques. Following last year, this year as well, Sun Youngrae, CEO of Sangmu Franchise, donated a scholarship of 2 million won, and Choi Eunsook, CEO of Haedong Live Fish, donated a scholarship of 500,000 won. The graduates also held a ceremony to present bouquets of appreciation to their respective corporate field instructors.
Kim Haksoo, the representative of the graduating class, stated, "I will cherish the valuable experiences and memories gained through the apprenticeship program," and added, "I will continue to approach my future with a sense of responsibility and a willingness to learn."
Park Sungwoo, Principal of Soongui Science and Technology High School, said, "This year, the employment rate of students who found jobs in Seoul, Jeju Island, and the Gwangju-Jeonnam region has increased significantly," and added, "Seeing the bright faces of the apprenticeship students, full of hope for the future, makes me proud."
