Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) has completed the installation of insulation and smart films in five public rental housing complexes.
This project is a concrete implementation of the "Zero Maintenance Fee Apartment" vision announced by Gyeonggi Province in March of last year.
GH signed a work delegation agreement with Gyeonggi Province and installed "insulation films" that block ultraviolet and infrared rays on the windows of 311 households in four districts, including Anyang Naengcheong Happy Housing. In addition, "smart films" with adjustable transparency and heat loss prevention functions were applied to the windows of welfare facilities in the Gwangju Station Area Youth Innovation Town public rental housing complex.

These technologies are regarded as key climate tech solutions that help maintain a constant indoor temperature, reduce the operation rates of heating and cooling systems, and contribute not only to lowering housing costs but also to achieving carbon neutrality in the building sector.
GH plans to go beyond simply providing residential spaces by incorporating climate crisis response technologies into housing management, thereby reducing carbon emissions and lowering heating and cooling costs for residents, as part of its ongoing climate tech-based "energy welfare" initiatives.
Kim Yongjin, President of GH, stated, "This project is the first case of realizing the policy vision of 'Zero Maintenance Fee Apartments' and initiating energy welfare that residents can truly experience," adding, "We will continue to work with Gyeonggi Province to promote various energy efficiency improvement projects that enhance the quality of housing for residents."
