The International Biology Olympiad is a competition that evaluates theoretical and experimental skills in the field of life sciences. According to last year's event, 298 students from 77 countries participated. Since Korea's first participation in 1998, the country has sent a delegation every year and consistently achieved excellent results.
Through this agreement, Samsung Bioepis and Samsung Biologics will support the selection and training of the Korean national team for the International Biology Olympiad, participation in the international competition, and the provision of scholarships. By doing so, they aim to identify and nurture outstanding talent in the life sciences at an early stage and actively engage in talent-centered social responsibility activities for the future advancement of national technology.
Kim Kyunga, CEO of Samsung Bioepis, stated, "Life sciences are a key field that leads the health and future of humanity. We will continue to support the scientific curiosity of future generations and remain committed to nurturing talent that will drive the bioindustry forward."
