Annual Checkup for Ages 19 to 64
Covers 19 Health Screening Items
Gwangjin District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Kyungho) is implementing a free health checkup support program to help single-person households manage their health.
The program is available to single-person households aged 19 to 64 who are registered residents of Gwangjin District. Those who live in other districts but attend school or work within Gwangjin District can also receive the checkup by presenting proof of enrollment or employment. However, individuals eligible for the national health checkup program are excluded.
The checkups are available on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Civil Service Office on the first floor of Gwangjin District Health Center. No advance reservation is required; participants must fast for at least 10 hours from the day before the exam and bring a valid ID and a resident registration certificate.
The checkup includes a total of 19 items, such as chest X-ray, urine test, hepatitis B test, blood sugar test, kidney function test, liver function test, and thyroid-stimulating hormone test. Results can be checked either in person or through the public health website. If any abnormal findings are detected, personalized consultations with a specialist at the health center are also available.
Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, stated, "Since single-person households are more likely to neglect their health due to their living conditions, I hope this free health checkup will provide an opportunity to assess their health and prevent diseases early. We will continue to expand practical, everyday health policies to create a healthier and more vibrant Gwangjin."
