[CES 2026] 130 Key Decision-Makers of Hyundai Motor Group Gather in Las Vegas

Annual "Global Leaders Forum (GLF)"
First-Ever Event Held at CES 2026
"A Platform for Sharing Trends and Networking"

Over 130 key executives who drive the Hyundai Motor Group, including Chairman Chung Euisun and the presidents of its affiliates, are gathering in Las Vegas, United States. This is because the group’s annual top strategy meeting is, for the first time this year, taking place on-site at CES 2026, the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition. This move is seen as a sign that, in order to transform Hyundai Motor Group’s DNA into “AI robotics,” its leaders must first acquire hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies.

According to industry sources on January 7 (local time), more than 130 top executives-including the presidents of key affiliates such as Hyundai Motor and Kia, regional heads from overseas, and vice presidents-are attending the Global Leaders Forum (GLF) held at a hotel near the CES 2026 venue. After arriving in the United States on January 5, they have been touring the CES 2026 exhibition halls.

The GLF is an annual event for sharing future strategies and visions. As Hyundai Motor Group has identified AI robotics as its new growth engine beyond the automotive sector and declared its commitment to developing humanoid robots, this year’s GLF is also expected to focus on “Physical AI.”

Holding the GLF at CES reflects Chairman Chung’s intention for leaders to directly observe rapidly advancing AI technologies, so they can leverage these technologies for new business opportunities or identify the best partners.

The group’s “partner search” initiative has been spearheaded by Chairman Chung himself. On the opening day of CES 2026, he visited the booths of Doosan, Qualcomm, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, and Nvidia in succession, exploring new technologies in AI, robotics, and mobility. Notably, after observing the latest robotic vacuum cleaner at the Samsung Electronics booth, he suggested to Noh Taemoon, President and Head of Device Experience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, “Let’s collaborate together.”

Jang Jaehun, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, also emphasized the importance of global collaboration. In a meeting with reporters on January 5, he stated, “I believe global collaboration is the most important,” adding, “We will soon be able to share areas where we can instill confidence in the market together with global companies.”

A Hyundai Motor Group official explained, “This year’s GLF schedule consists of CES tours and forum sessions, designed to share the latest trends and insights and to build both internal and external networks.”
