According to the Times of India on January 7 (local time), the incident occurred in the early morning of January 4 at an apartment in Greater Noida, near the capital city of New Delhi. According to reports, local police received a call from a regional university hospital that a Korean man had died from stab wounds and immediately responded to the scene.


The police investigation found that Ms. B had suggested the victim eat and go to bed, but the victim responded aggressively, escalating the argument. The dispute turned physical, and it was reported that the victim assaulted Ms. B during the altercation. In a fit of rage, Ms. B grabbed a knife from the dining table and attacked him.


Immediately after the incident, Ms. B called her driver to take Mr. A to the hospital, but he ultimately died.


The two reportedly met at a party about two years ago and developed a romantic relationship. The victim had been working at a logistics center in Greater Noida for over 10 years, while Ms. B, who is originally from Manipur in northeastern India, was unemployed.


The victim's family is reportedly planning to travel to India soon.


Local police have charged Ms. B with murder. A police official stated, "According to the driver's testimony, the two frequently argued over trivial matters, and last month, the victim also suddenly exhibited aggressive behavior." The official added, "We are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident, and the woman is currently in custody for further questioning."
