Strengthening Communication with Residents and the Field Starting January 7
Gyeongsan City (Mayor Cho Hyunil) will hold a series of "Conversations with Residents" from January 7 to January 27, visiting 15 towns and neighborhoods to strengthen communication with citizens and actively reflect diverse voices from the field in city administration.
This round of conversations with residents will begin in Jinryang-eup on this day and continue through Nambu-dong. In each region, citizens will be able to directly ask questions about major local issues and everyday inconveniences, and the mayor will respond on site in an open Q&A format.
Through these sessions, the city aims to broadly gather citizen suggestions and proposals and to practically incorporate them into municipal operations.
Additionally, during the conversations, the city will share updates on key projects being promoted in each area and explain the progress made on previously raised suggestions.
After the meetings, the schedule will also include visits to major business sites or senior centers in each town or neighborhood to inspect facility operations and monitor project progress.
Proposals for city development or suggestions to resolve everyday inconveniences received through these conversations will be reviewed by the relevant departments. The city will provide detailed explanations of the plans to those who made the suggestions and incorporate them into city administration. For issues requiring long-term review, the city will closely monitor progress and do its utmost to fulfill its promises to citizens.
Mayor Cho Hyunil stated, "This round of conversations with residents is not a session where the administration brings predetermined answers, but a process of listening directly to the stories within citizens' lives and finding solutions together," adding, "For what is possible, we will act immediately; for what is necessary, we will follow through to the end, responding with tangible changes in citizens' daily lives."
