Doctors, Pharmacists, and Cancer Survivors to Host Hybrid Lecture in Busan

Knowledge Mentoring School Season 2, Second Nationwide Tour Lecture
"Five Speakers, Five Perspectives" at Pusan National University Hospital on the 17th

A hybrid lecture program, where not only doctors and pharmacists but also individuals with treatment experience take the stage to share information and personal stories, is coming to Busan.

This is the second season of the "Knowledge Mentoring School," an integrated cancer treatment information lecture program aimed at cancer patients and their families.

This lecture, co-hosted by the health and medical media outlet Maekyung Health and the pharmacy nutrition counseling brand Cellmed, will be held as a nationwide tour. Following the first event in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, the second session will take place at 2:00 p.m. on January 17 at the Grand Auditorium on the 9th floor of Building E, Pusan National University Hospital.

The organizers explained that the event is designed to provide practical information on integrated treatment and nutritional management for cancer patients and their caregivers. In addition to medical and pharmaceutical experts, a speaker with firsthand experience in cancer treatment will participate to share insights from their treatment and management journey.

The lecture consists of five sessions. Bongkeun Jang, CEO of JBK Lab and PhD in Medicine and Pharmacy, will open with a lecture titled "Fighting Cancer: Finding Answers with Natural Nutrients." Next, Jinmok Kim, Director of Pinehill Hospital, will discuss "Which Integrated Cancer Treatment Is Right for Me?" focusing on patient-tailored treatment approaches.

Gwangseop Jeon, Professor of Public Administration at Honam University and a pancreatic cancer survivor, will give a talk based on his own treatment journey. Yeon Choi, a pharmacist at Hansam Pharmacy under Cellmed, and Sujin Choi, a pharmacist at Dongsan Pharmacy in Busan, will each address key elements in cancer patient management, focusing on nutritional management and lifestyle habits, respectively.

Prior to the main event in Busan, a small-group nutrition counseling program involving pharmacists will also be held. The organizers plan to offer personalized nutritional management guidance tailored to each participant's individual circumstances.

Dr. Bongkeun Jang stated, "We hope the Busan lecture will serve as an opportunity to share valuable information and experiences that cancer patients and their families can refer to during the treatment process."

This event is free of charge and open to cancer patients, their families, and citizens interested in health management.
