to Enhance Communication with Citizens

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is accelerating the establishment of a "civil complaint call center" to improve convenience for citizens submitting civil complaints.

Mayor Yang Soo-hyun: "We Will Create a Dignified Civil Complaint System that Listens to Citizens' Voices" Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, is conducting the completion report for the "Basic Plan Establishment Service for the Construction of Yangju City Civil Complaint Call Center" at the city hall situation room on the 6th. On January 6, Yangju City held a completion report meeting for the "Basic Plan Establishment Service for the Construction of Yangju City Civil Complaint Call Center" at the city hall situation room, attended by Mayor Yang Soo-hyun and around 40 senior public officials.

This project was carried out to establish a call center operation model optimized for the city's administrative environment and to develop efficient system implementation strategies. According to the results, the upcoming Yangju City Civil Complaint Call Center will consolidate all civil complaints through a dedicated representative number and operate a "one-stop" system where professional consultants immediately resolve simple and repetitive inquiries.

In particular, the city plans to consider the phased introduction of artificial intelligence (AI)-based consultation systems, such as STT (speech-to-text conversion) and chatbots, to provide high-quality consultation services. Through this, the city aims to improve the accuracy of civil complaint processing and reduce citizens' waiting times.

Mayor Yang Soo-hyun stated, "Based on the results of this project, we will build a civil complaint call center optimized for Yangju City, listen to the diverse voices of our citizens, and respond quickly and accurately, so that Yangju City can become a 'city of dignity and a great place to live.'"
