"Thought It Was Fake": Former President Yoon's Mentor Cheonggong Appears at CES, Photos Spread on SNS It is reported that a person presumed to be Cheonggong visited the world's largest electronics exhibition, CES 2026, which opened on the 6th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA. Photo from SNS capture

On January 6, photos began circulating on social networking services (SNS) showing a man believed to be Cheonggong conversing with officials at CES 2026. Cheonggong has previously shown interest in artificial intelligence (AI), often discussing the topic on his YouTube channel.

In August of last year, he gave a Jeongbeop lecture on AI under the theme "New Paradigm Content Created by AI." In continuation of such lectures, it is interpreted that he attended CES 2026 as a visitor to gain an intuitive understanding of AI technology.

Cheonggong has been known not only for his close relationship with former President Yoon and his wife, but also for allegations that he was involved in the relocation of the presidential office to Yongsan. These allegations arose after claims surfaced that, during the process of selecting the presidential residence in April 2022, Cheonggong visited the Army Chief of Staff's official residence and the Army's Seoul office within the Ministry of National Defense compound together with Kim Yonghyun, who was then the chief of the Presidential Security Service.

However, after the police searched the Ministry of National Defense and analyzed the closed-circuit (CC) TV installed at the Army Chief of Staff's residence, they concluded that the claims regarding Cheonggong's involvement in the relocation of the presidential residence were not true.
