Ansan Mayor Lee Mingun Kicks Off New Year’s Civic Communication Initiative ‘Hope Together’

Scheduled Visits to 129 Apartment Complexes and 71 Senior Centers
"We Will Make Voices from the Field the First Step Toward Policy Change"

Lee Mingun, Mayor of Ansan, has launched the initiative "2026 First Greetings of Sharing Hope, Together," to mark the 40th anniversary of Ansan's elevation to city status and to begin active communication with citizens.

According to Ansan City, on the 6th, Mayor Lee visited a senior center and apartments in Seongpo-dong, offering New Year's greetings to residents and collecting their civil complaints and suggestions.

Mayor Lee plans to visit a total of 129 apartment complexes and 71 senior centers in the city by next month. Notably, this round of visits includes evening schedules on weekdays, allowing him to hear from citizens after work hours.

The city will immediately coordinate with relevant departments on-site to address civil complaints that can be resolved right away, while for mid- to long-term issues, a step-by-step roadmap will be established and implemented.

During Mayor Lee's visit, residents from Yesulin, Jugong 4th Complex, Hyundai 1st Complex, and Seonggyeong Apartments participated. Even after work hours, he continued conversations with residents of Seongpo Jugong 10th and 11th Complexes and Park Prugio at a local cafe in Seongpo-dong.

Mayor Lee stated, "This initiative is not just a simple greeting, but the beginning of a service-oriented administration that approaches citizens. I will use the vivid voices from the field as the first step toward policy change, so that everyone can welcome the year with hope."
