Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 7 that it has pilot-installed and is operating a multilingual bus information terminal (BIT) at the Ansan Station bus stop on Subway Line 4. This is the first such case among local governments in Gyeonggi Province.

This project was launched to break down language barriers for foreign tourists and residents, and to improve access to public transportation services.
The multilingual bus information terminal (BIT) provides bus route information and real-time bus location data in four languages: Korean, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese, in addition to the existing Korean service.
The city plans to use this pilot project to refine the service and expand installation to other major bus stops and transfer centers within the city.
Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "We will continue to enhance our transportation services to further elevate our status as a global intercultural city."
