Kumho Tire Proves ESG Competitiveness... EcoVadis Gold for Second Consecutive Year

Outstanding Results in Global ESG Evaluations

Kumho Tire announced on January 7 that it has been recognized for its capabilities by achieving consecutive excellent results in the 2025 ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation.

Global ESG rating agency EcoVadis awarded Kumho Tire a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year. EcoVadis conducts a comprehensive evaluation across four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In 2024, Kumho Tire received the Gold Medal, ranking in the top 5% among approximately 150,000 companies worldwide participating in the evaluation. Last year, the company was also highly recognized for strengthening its ethical management system and expanding the scope of data management.


Additionally, Kumho Tire received an overall 'A grade' in the ESG evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute. The company achieved the top integrated grade through management improvements such as establishing a human rights management system, setting diversity targets for employees, strengthening investment in information security, and conducting board evaluations.


Since 2022, Kumho Tire has participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and last year earned an 'A-' grade in recognition of its water management capabilities. In the Supply Chain Engagement Assessment (SEA), Kumho Tire was selected for the highest 'A List', acknowledging its efforts in responding to climate change and its achievements in ESG management.


Kumho Tire has maintained an AA grade in the MSCI ESG evaluation since 2022 and ranked within the top 15% of auto parts companies in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by global credit rating agency S&P Global. At the '2025 Korea Sustainability Conference' hosted by the Korean Standards Association, Kumho Tire was honored with the top spot in the Tire category of the Korea Sustainability Index (KSI) for the third consecutive year and was selected as an excellent report in the manufacturing sector of the Korea Sustainability Report Awards (KRCA) for the second consecutive year.


Jung Iltaek, CEO of Kumho Tire, stated, "We are organically managing issue-specific goals and action plans in line with our ESG management strategy," adding, "We will strive to solidify the foundation for sustainable management and become a truly authentic global brand by advancing and internalizing ESG management."
