Polestar 4 Tops Imported Electric Vehicle Sales Over 60 Million Won Last Year

The Polestar 4, a coupe-style electric SUV from the Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar, has become the best-selling model in the premium imported electric vehicle market priced above 60 million won, shaking up a segment that has long been dominated by German brands.

According to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) on January 7, the Polestar 4 recorded cumulative sales of 2,611 units last year, making it the top-selling premium imported electric vehicle. This outperformed major electric vehicle models from German premium brands, such as the Audi Q4 e-tron (2,475 units) and the BMW i5 (1,976 units).

A representative from Polestar Korea stated, "This achievement was possible because consumers recognized the outstanding product quality and the premium value that our brand pursues, even without large-scale supply pushes or aggressive discount policies. This year, we will continue to provide a differentiated customer experience and further solidify our leadership in the luxury electric vehicle market with the upcoming launches of the Polestar 3 and Polestar 5."

The Polestar 4 aims for a perfect balance of innovative design and exceptional performance. By eliminating the rear window and utilizing a digital rearview mirror, the vehicle offers second-row passengers a spacious and open environment comparable to a business lounge, while also providing a wider rear view than conventional models.

The long-range single-motor model can travel more than 511 kilometers on a single charge, while the dual-motor model can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
