Broadcaster Jung Hyungdon strongly criticized the fake news circulating about his wife Han Yura’s alleged debt issues and his life as a “goose father,” stating that these claims are completely groundless. He pointed out the pain that such baseless rumors inflict on families and emphasized the significant harm they cause to his own family.
On January 6, a video titled “Why Is My Wife Being Criticized? Let’s Not Make Money Off Things Like This in 2026” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Mungchin TV’. In the video, Jung Hyungdon directly addressed a shorts content titled “The Reason Jung Hyungdon’s Wife Han Yura Is Being Criticized.”
The controversial shorts video claimed that Jung Hyungdon downplayed his debt to a quarter of the actual amount when marrying Han Yura, lost control of the family finances as a result, and that this led to a delay in their marriage registration. It also alleged that Jung Hyungdon suffered from mental health issues while living as a “goose father.”
In response, Jung Hyungdon expressed his displeasure, saying, “What on earth is this about?” and “It’s crazy to suggest that we didn’t register our marriage because of debt.” He continued, “Are you saying that I developed mental health issues and stopped broadcasting because my wife and kids went to study in Hawaii? I want to curse at them,” expressing his anger.
He further criticized, “There are as many as 5,449 comments on this kind of fake news, and the fact that I even have to clarify this is absurd. It’s even more frustrating that people are making money off of this.”
He added, “Is it okay for them to tear apart a well-off family however they please? Don’t make money off things like this and just live decently in 2026.”
