[Weather] Mostly Cloudy Nationwide... Snow and Rain in Jeju Island

On Wednesday, January 7, skies across the country will be mostly cloudy, gradually clearing from the morning. Snow or rain is expected in some areas, including Jeju Island.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected snowfall in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island is between 1 and 3 centimeters, and the expected precipitation on Jeju Island is less than 5 millimeters.


As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul 1.0°C, Incheon 3.6°C, Suwon -2.9°C, Chuncheon -3.8°C, Gangneung 4.3°C, Cheongju 0.5°C, Daejeon 1.6°C, Jeonju 1.0°C, Gwangju -1.1°C, Jeju 7.8°C, Daegu -1.8°C, Busan 2.5°C, Ulsan 1.5°C, and Changwon 1.8°C. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 0°C to 9°C.


Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels nationwide.


Wave heights in coastal waters will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea. In offshore areas up to about 200 kilometers from the coastline, wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
