KICPA Holds 2026 Accountants New Year's Meeting

Chairman Choi made these remarks at the '2026 Accountants New Year's Meeting' held at the Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Hotel on the same day. He said, "Accounting is a core infrastructure supporting the credibility of the national economy, and accounting reform is not a choice but a national task that must be accomplished." He also emphasized, "The full-fledged discussion on the enactment of the Basic Accounting Act marks a significant turning point for our accounting system."
At the event, more than 200 key figures from the accounting industry and related organizations attended, including Assemblymen Yoo Dongsoo and Kim Namgeun from the Democratic Party of Korea, Assemblywoman Park Sumin from the People Power Party, former chairmen Kang Sungwon, Choi Jungkyung, and Kim Youngsik of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Yoon Jeunghyun, Chairman of the Accounting Hall of Fame Committee. They exchanged New Year's greetings and pledged for the advancement and cooperation of the accounting industry in the coming year.
The Accountants New Year's Meeting is a representative annual event where major figures in the accounting industry gather in one place to foster unity and solidarity.
