Jeonnam Provincial Dormitory

The Jeonnam Provincial Dormitory announced on January 6 that it will be recruiting new residents for 2026 to support the academic pursuits of university students from Jeonnam who attend universities in Gwangju and its neighboring cities and counties.

The total number of recruits is 172 (94 male, 84 female).

Applications will be accepted for 37 days, from January 7 to February 12. Students can apply through the dormitory's website, and if access to the website is difficult, applications may also be submitted via email, fax, mail, or in person.

Eligibility is open to new and current students (including graduate students) of universities in Gwangju and its neighboring cities and counties, as well as graduates who have completed their degrees within the past two years. As of the announcement date, any student whose own or guardian's resident registration is in Jeonnam is eligible to apply.

The Jeonnam Provincial Dormitory is equipped with various facilities, including double occupancy rooms, a reading room, fitness room, multimedia room, laundry room, and sports field. Residents can receive three meals a day and use the shuttle bus, which operates nine times a day, free of charge for a monthly living fee of 110,000 won.

Scholarships are provided to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or those with outstanding academic performance, and various scholarship programs, including domestic and overseas field trips, are also offered.
