Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is accelerating its efforts to implement on-site, communicative administration that directly engages with the lives of residents.

According to Jeonbuk Province on January 6, the province will officially launch the "2026 City and County Visits with Residents" on January 7, starting with Jeonju. The initiative will involve sequential visits to all 14 cities and counties within the province.

Under the slogan "Running Together with Residents, Succeeding Together," this initiative has been organized to share the achievements of provincial administration in the new year and to incorporate diverse voices from the field into policy. The schedule begins in Jeonju on January 7, followed by Jangsu on January 8, Gimje on January 9, Iksan on January 12, and concludes with Gunsan on January 23.

The first order of business during each visit will be to meet with local city and county councils to discuss current issues with regional assembly members. Next, in the highly anticipated "Dialogue with Residents," Governor Kim Kwan-young will personally deliver a special lecture titled "The Beginning and End of Challenging Jeonbuk's Prosperity, Together with Residents," and will listen directly to local suggestions through a Q&A session.

This year, in particular, the province is expanding its visits to include social welfare facilities and traditional markets, with a strong focus on closely examining the living conditions of vulnerable groups and the state of the local economy. At traditional markets, the governor will participate in shopping events to gauge real consumer prices and hear firsthand about the difficulties faced by merchants.

A Jeonbuk Province official stated, "We will thoroughly review the valuable opinions presented by residents on-site and faithfully reflect them in provincial administration," adding, "We will continue to broaden our engagement with residents and further strengthen communication going forward."
