Damyang County in Jeonnam is engaging in communication with local youth who will lead the future of agriculture, taking steps to develop effective measures for creating a prosperous and vibrant rural community.

According to Damyang County on January 6, a "Youth Farmer Communication Meeting" was held on January 5 at the County Office Soswaewon Room, where young farmers and graduates of the Agricultural Officer School gathered to share their challenges in the field and explore ways to advance the sector.

This meeting was organized to directly listen to the practical difficulties faced by young farmers at the farming sites and to actively incorporate these into county policies, with the aim of establishing highly effective support measures.

The young farmers in attendance shared the hardships they experience during the initial stages of settling into farming, and offered a variety of policy suggestions and opinions, including improvements to agricultural policies, revitalization of smart farms, stable supply of Seolhyang virus-free seedlings, and strengthening of one-on-one customized consulting.

Jeong Cheolwon, Governor of Damyang County, encouraged the participants by saying, "Young farmers are the core driving force and the very future of Damyang agriculture," and added, "Based on the valuable opinions shared today, we will do our utmost to create an agricultural environment where young people can settle down stably and feel a sense of pride."
