Jeollanam-do Social Service Center (Acting President Jeong Gwangseon) held a New Year's kick-off ceremony on January 5, marking the beginning of the year by approaching work with renewed determination and sharing the organization’s goals and vision.

At the ceremony, executives and staff gathered to reflect on past achievements and reaffirm their mission to improve the quality of life for local residents and strengthen public social services, pledging a strong start for 2026.

The event also included an appointment letter presentation for newly hired employees in 2026, providing encouragement and a warm welcome as they take their first steps in the field of social services. The new employees pledged to uphold their responsibilities and pride as members of a public institution and to contribute to building trustworthy social services for residents.

In addition, all staff participated in the 2026 Anti-Corruption and Integrity Pledge Ceremony. This event was organized to ensure that all executives and employees of the Jeollanam-do Social Service Center share a strong commitment to anti-corruption and to foster a culture of integrity through transparent and fair work practices.

After the official ceremony, all employees shared tteokguk, a traditional New Year’s rice cake soup, as a way to celebrate the New Year, encourage each other’s hard work, and communicate. Sharing tteokguk symbolized growing a year older in the new year and served as a meaningful opportunity to reinforce unity and solidarity among members of the organization.

Acting President Jeong Gwangseon stated, “2026 will be a year in which we take a step forward by providing social services that are even closer to the lives of local residents,” and added, “Let’s work together to faithfully reflect voices from the field in our policies and services, and fulfill our social responsibility as a trusted public institution.”

The Social Service Center plans to continue to uphold integrity as a core value, strengthen its public role, and become a trusted institution that works together with the local community by providing resident-centered, comprehensive social services.
