As a result, the "Geumgwan from Geumryeong Tomb," regarded as the essence of Silla culture, will be coming to Cheongdo this September.

The "National Treasure Traveling Exhibition" is a government project aimed at narrowing regional cultural gaps and enhancing cultural rights for local residents by exhibiting important cultural heritage items from the National Museum of Korea’s collection at regional public museums, in response to the risk of local extinction.

With this selection, Cheongdo Museum will hold a special exhibition themed around the "Geumgwan from Geumryeong Tomb" in its special exhibition hall from September to November.

The main exhibits will include the gold crown, gold belt, and gold bells excavated from the Silla Geumryeong Tomb-signature artifacts from the National Museum of Korea that exemplify the pinnacle of Silla tomb art.

In particular, this marks the first time that the authentic gold crown-symbolizing the authority of the central ruling class-will be exhibited in Cheongdo, which was once a major regional hub of Silla, making the event even more significant.

For this exhibition, Cheongdo Museum will receive full national funding from the National Museum of Korea to cover all related expenses, including exhibition production, artifact transportation, insurance, and promotional video production.

The museum plans to supplement this with its own budget to significantly improve the exhibition hall environment.

They intend to ensure optimal viewing conditions and establish a robust security system to present these national treasure-level artifacts safely and with dignity.

Governor Kim Hasu of Cheongdo County stated, "I am very pleased that we can now showcase national treasure-level heritage items in Cheongdo, which previously could only be seen by visiting museums in major cities. We will make thorough preparations so that this exhibition becomes a valuable cultural experience that instills pride in our residents and serves as a special reason for outside visitors to come to Cheongdo."
