SK Hynix executives held a private meeting with NVIDIA representatives immediately after the special speech by Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, at 'CES 2026'.

Kwak Nojeong, President and CEO of SK Hynix, and Kim Juseon, President of AI Infrastructure (CMO) at SK Hynix, headed to a private meeting room accompanied by NVIDIA officials after CEO Huang's special speech on the afternoon of the 5th (local time) at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas, USA.

On that day, President Kwak hinted at a meeting with CEO Huang, stating, "I came because I have a meeting." Subsequently, President Kim expressed a positive reaction to Rubin, NVIDIA's next-generation GPU (graphics processing unit) unveiled that day. When asked about his impressions of the speech, including the advancement of the Rubin platform, he replied, "I saw it well," and added, "Didn't you see (the content) earlier?"

Regarding the fact that SK Hynix did not open an official CES exhibition booth, he briefly responded, "We opened a private booth for our clients."

According to the semiconductor industry, SK Hynix is currently a key supplier, providing NVIDIA with final samples of 20,000 to 30,000 units of high-bandwidth memory (HBM)4. It is reported that NVIDIA has entered the final qualification testing stage to install SK Hynix's HBM4 in its Rubin platform. Once Rubin enters full-scale production in the future, it is expected that SK Hynix will also begin supplying large quantities to NVIDIA in earnest.

Although an NVIDIA representative avoided specific comments by saying, "This is not an official meeting," the meeting is interpreted as a working-level discussion for next-generation AI infrastructure collaboration.

During his keynote speech that day, CEO Huang introduced the Rubin accelerator, stating, "The next-generation chip is currently in the full production stage." He explained that the Rubin accelerator has improved AI model training performance by 3.5 times and AI software execution performance by 5 times compared to the previous generation, Blackwell.
