LG Electronics CEO Jaecheol Ryu took the stage as the keynote speaker and presented the "AI experience," which connects customers' everyday spaces through various empathy intelligence-based solutions, emphasizing that the company is ready to lead the era of "AI in Action." On the day before the opening, January 5, LG Electronics held its global strategy event, the 'LG World Premiere,' at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, unveiling its artificial intelligence strategy focused on living spaces. CEO Jaecheol Ryu stated at the event, "We aim to create a home where appliances and robots make decisions and operate autonomously, reducing the burden of household chores and planning," adding, "Artificial intelligence must evolve beyond simply executing commands to understanding the context of customers' lives and taking proactive action."

LG Electronics is focusing on applying artificial intelligence to residential spaces to drive real changes in daily life. The strategy is to combine appliances that learn users' schedules and environments and operate autonomously, systems that coordinate these devices, and robots that actually perform household tasks, thereby reducing repetitive and burdensome housework.

This strategy was also embodied in the exhibition layout and demonstrations. At the LG Electronics booth in Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, the AI home robot 'LG CLOi' was demonstrated performing actual household chores. CLOi was shown picking up and folding towels after the laundry cycle, repeatedly placing clothes left in the laundry basket into the washing machine, picking up keys, and preparing food by moving between the oven and refrigerator.

The previous day, Samsung Electronics CEO Tae-moon Roh attended the CES 2026 press conference 'The First Look' and unveiled a strategy to apply artificial intelligence across all Samsung Electronics products and services. The vision is to make AI not just a standalone feature, but a fundamental element that operates throughout everyday life.

CEO Roh stated, "We will apply artificial intelligence to all Samsung Electronics products and services so that customers can enjoy meaningful experiences," and added, "AI will not remain confined to specific devices or functions, but will naturally expand throughout customers' daily lives." Through this, Samsung Electronics aims to enhance connectivity between products and leverage both on-device AI and server-based AI to provide features tailored to various situations.

Samsung Electronics' AI strategy was also reflected in the exhibition layout unveiled the day after 'The First Look.' During CES 2026, Samsung Electronics set up an exclusive exhibition hall at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, under the concept of 'AI Everyday Companion.' The exhibition featured demonstrations showing how AI-integrated TVs, home appliances, and mobile devices blend into everyday spaces. At the entrance, the 'Vision AI Companion' feature was introduced, allowing visitors to interact with Samsung AI TVs to receive content information and lifestyle-related responses. At the center of the exhibition, a 130-inch Micro RGB TV was displayed, highlighting cutting-edge large display technology.
