Integrity Commitment by Public Officials
A Pledge for Growth Together with Residents
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on January 6 that it held an "Integrity Pledge Ceremony" with the participation of all public officials during the New Year's kick-off meeting in the county office's main conference room.
This pledge ceremony, held to mark the beginning of the new year, brought together all departmental officials and residents, including County Governor Koo Inmo, to reaffirm their commitment to integrity for the Year of the Fire Horse in 2026. Through this event, participants renewed their determination to practice integrity and expressed their commitment to trustworthy and transparent administration for the people of the county.
The integrity pledge, read aloud by a staff representative, included a strong commitment to action, such as eradicating corruption, prohibiting favoritism and discrimination based on blood ties, regional connections, school ties, or religion, and carrying out work in a fair and transparent manner.
Meanwhile, Geochang County plans to continue promoting a variety of anti-corruption and integrity initiatives by fostering a communication-centered organizational culture. These efforts will include integrity training, broadcasting of integrity songs, focused improvements in areas vulnerable to corruption, and the operation of "Integrity Communication Days."
