Hyundai Motor Company announced on January 5 that it sold a total of 4,138,180 vehicles worldwide in 2025. Compared to 2024, domestic sales increased by 1.1%, while overseas sales decreased by 0.3%.
The sales target for this year has been set at 4,158,300 units, a slight increase from last year's sales. The company aims to sell 700,000 units domestically and 3,458,300 units overseas.
By market, Hyundai Motor Company sold 712,954 vehicles in Korea last year, up 1.1% from 2024.
For sedans, a total of 208,626 units were sold, including 71,775 units of the Grandeur, 52,435 units of the Sonata, and 79,335 units of the Avante. For recreational vehicles (RVs), a total of 263,987 units were sold, including 60,909 units of the Palisade, 57,889 units of the Santa Fe, and 53,901 units of the Tucson.
Genesis sold a total of 118,395 units, including 41,291 units of the G80, 32,396 units of the GV80, and 34,710 units of the GV70.
In overseas markets, Hyundai Motor Company sold 3,425,226 vehicles in 2025, a decrease of 0.3% compared to 2024.
A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, "Despite complex internal and external management risks in 2025, such as tariff burdens, we strengthened our position in major global markets including North America by expanding our eco-friendly vehicle lineup."
The official added, "We will continue our efforts to become a top-tier brand trusted by customers by achieving sales growth based on excellent product competitiveness and an expanded eco-friendly vehicle lineup, as well as by enhancing our ability to respond to local supply chains through the full-scale operation of new production bases."
