Up to 50 Million Won in Support Per Business
for Management Stability
Gochang County is set to launch the “2026 Small Business Working Capital Support Program” with a total budget of 10 billion won, aiming to assist local small business owners struggling with management difficulties due to the prolonged economic downturn and high interest rates.
According to Gochang County on January 5, the program will be operated in two ways to meet the funding needs of small businesses: ▲ Small Business Working Capital Loans ▲ Hope The Dream Special Guarantee.
First, the “Small Business Working Capital Loan” provides financing of up to 30 million won per business, with Gochang County subsidizing interest rates up to 5% per annum. The loan term is three years, making it useful for small businesses in need of short-term funds.
The “Hope The Dream Special Guarantee” is designed for small businesses lacking sufficient collateral, offering loans of up to 50 million won per business. It supports interest subsidies of up to 3% per annum, and features a five-year repayment term to help ensure stable financial management.
Notably, with the opening of the Jeonbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation’s Gochang branch last year, the application process has been greatly simplified. Small business owners can visit the branch for consultation and apply at any time throughout the year, enabling faster access to financial support.
Shim Deokseop, Mayor of Gochang County, stated, “We hope that this 10 billion won support program will serve as a practical foundation for stabilizing the management of small businesses facing financial difficulties. We will continue to do our best to enhance the self-sufficiency of local small businesses and revitalize the local economy by providing both financial support and improvements to the business environment.”
