Geumsan County has published a flood damage report that systematically documents the damage and the entire process of response and recovery following the heavy rainfall that occurred from July 8 to July 10, 2024.

At that time, Geumsan County experienced the heaviest rainfall in 200 years and was declared a special disaster area.

The flood damage report comprehensively covers the timeline of damage caused by the heavy rain, the status of damage by sector, the process of emergency and full-scale recovery, the deployment of personnel and equipment, and details of support provided to residents.

In particular, the report visually organizes photographs and diagrams by affected area, illustrates the response flow by time period, and includes key lessons and directions for institutional improvement identified during the disaster response process.

Through this, the report goes beyond simply recording events and enhances its value as a practical policy reference. It is expected to serve as foundational material for improving response systems in the event of similar disasters in the future.

The completed report will be distributed to county-affiliated organizations, relevant departments, and related agencies, and will also be made available in e-book format.
