Two TV·OTT Works, Four YouTube·Digital Pieces
Works Released on YouTube Channels
Eugene Group announced on January 5 that its affiliate, Eugene ENT, has successfully concluded the first EUCON (Eugene ENT Liberal Arts Content Creation Support Project).
EUCON, which was launched last year, was designed to provide practical opportunities for content creation to small and medium-sized production companies and independent creators who wish to produce liberal arts content.
In August last year, Eugene ENT selected a total of six projects-two in the TV·OTT category and four in the YouTube·digital category-from more than 40 proposals submitted through a public contest. The company provided a total of 100 million won in production support funds. The selected production companies created liberal arts content covering a wide range of topics, including history, culture, economy, and society, each reflecting their own individuality and creativity.
In the TV·OTT category, two works were produced. "Q-POP Singer, Lenin Tamayo" by Documentary Bom follows the journey of Lenin Tamayo, a singer from Peru who reinterprets K-POP through his own musical perspective. It is scheduled to air on a general programming channel in the first quarter of this year.
"Jeonju Archive Operation" by Content Namu is a documentary that recreates the story of the Jeonju Archive Edition of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty-the only edition that survived the Japanese invasions of Korea-using artificial intelligence (AI) video technology. It will be broadcast on JTV Jeonju Broadcasting on January 16.
In the YouTube·digital category, a total of four liberal arts content pieces were produced. "Cheongahan Money" by Lime Media One is an educational content series that delivers the basic concepts of stock investment in an easy and engaging way, set against the backdrop of the AI era and focusing on young people's stock investment competition.
"Second Youth Club" by FOCC is an observational documentary capturing the process of seniors, who were once content consumers, transforming into creators. "Beyond Limits, A Stage Seen Together" by Lee Yun Film is an educational content piece aimed at improving awareness of people with disabilities, highlighting the life of a national Taekwondo athlete who is also an actor living with a disability. "AI Trend Economic Dilemma" by iCox is a discussion-based liberal arts content series that explains complex economic issues from the perspective of the AI era.
These works will be released through each production company's YouTube channel and can be viewed by searching for the titles on YouTube.
A representative from Eugene ENT stated, "EUCON is a project that has connected various experimental approaches in the liberal arts content genre to actual production. We hope that the completed works, introduced across a variety of platforms, will contribute to expanding the spectrum of K-content."
